Launch Planning
Shape a thoughtful plan for the moments before, during, and after release, with every decision grounded in the experience you want readers to have.
Reader-centered strategy for indie romance
Writing the story was one kind of work. Creating anticipation, connection, and a release readers want to talk about asks for another kind of thinking.
ReadHer Studio helps indie romance authors shape unforgettable reader experiences through personalized strategy, creative direction, and thoughtful brainstorming.
READHER STUDIO
Make the reader experience part of the story.

Think like a reader
ReadHer Studio is not a writing or editing service. It is a boutique strategy studio focused on what readers see, feel, and remember once the book is ready to meet the world.
Through personalized guidance and creative brainstorming, we consider the full reader experience, including how the book is discovered, introduced, packaged, shared, and remembered.
This is not about following a generic checklist. It is about creating moments that feel specific to the story, true to the author, and genuinely exciting to the readers the book was written for.
Where our thinking begins
Many consultants begin with marketing tactics. ReadHer Studio begins somewhere else. We begin by asking what would make a reader pause, lean in, feel included, and want to tell someone else about the book.
“Would this make someone excited to pick up this book?”
That question shapes every recommendation, from a cover reveal or PR package to a special edition, partnership, or launch-day moment. Because the most memorable releases are not simply seen. They give readers something meaningful to experience and share.
Ideas with a reason behind them
Each area of support is viewed through the same lens: will this create excitement, connection, conversation, or a memory worth sharing?
Shape a thoughtful plan for the moments before, during, and after release, with every decision grounded in the experience you want readers to have.
Create conversations, content, events, and interactive moments that invite readers into the world of the book and give them a reason to stay connected.
Turn the first glimpse of your book into a moment of anticipation that feels true to the story and worth sharing.
Identify readers, creators, and influencers whose communities are genuinely aligned with your book, then approach outreach with relevance and care.
Develop book-specific concepts that extend the story beyond the page and make receiving, photographing, and sharing the book feel special.
Explore collectible details such as exclusive covers, sprayed edges, foil, and signed editions that deepen a reader’s connection to the release.
Consider collaborations with book clubs, creators, and reader-focused platforms that can introduce the story through trusted communities.
Identify thoughtful ways the book could connect with subscription boxes and curated experiences where discovery already feels personal.
“The strongest ideas do more than promote the book. They invite readers into its world.”
Collaborative, personal, and considered
ReadHer Studio provides strategic guidance, creative brainstorming, and thoughtful recommendations. Every plan is shaped around your book, your readers, your capacity, and what you can realistically bring to life.
We talk through the book, the readers you hope to reach, your goals, what has already been planned, and where a fresh perspective would be most useful.
You receive a reader-centered blueprint with thoughtful recommendations for timing, engagement, outreach, merchandise, partnerships, and memorable promotional moments.
We review the ideas together, explore the possibilities, and refine the plan around your goals, capacity, timeline, and budget.
When included, additional check-ins give you space to ask questions, adjust the plan, and stay focused as the release approaches.

Founder of ReadHer
A perspective built on both sides of the book
ReadHer Studio is led by Ashley Barton, founder of ReadHer.
Ashley built ReadHer into a trusted destination for independently published Black romance. Through that work, she has collaborated closely with indie romance authors, curated books for a growing reader community, created exclusive editions, developed book-inspired merchandise, designed memorable reader experiences, and built partnerships connecting readers and authors.
That experience has given her a close view of how readers discover books, what makes them feel connected, what they collect, and what they are excited to share. It also brings practical insight into special editions, subscription boxes, PR packages, influencer strategy, merchandise concepts, and book community partnerships.
Ashley also brings more than a decade of professional experience advising, coaching, mentoring, and helping people think strategically. ReadHer Studio brings those worlds together so authors can see their release through a reader’s eyes and move forward with greater clarity.
